Domestic Affairs is a family of units aimed to reinterpret the use and interactions of household furniture in a new playful way. The set is comprised of three pieces oriented around everyday activities: a place to sleep, a place to entertain and dress, and a place to exercise.
Each unit has the opportunity for unique interactions. By using high-density foam, they become soft and playful, being able to bend, twist, indent, fold and cushion. Finishing the exterior with recycled rubber creates a highly textured finish.
Depending on their use the units have more or less built-in structure so that they are more comfortable to sit, lean or sleep on and more structured to hold a cocktail glass.
By sharing physical and visual similarities the three units together create an environment completely independent of the space they occupy, conforming a new domestic reality.
